In this silent show, Bakéké, a daring character dressed in a black smock and straw hat, strives to erect geometric constructions using simple buckets. Dreamy and obstinate, he pursues an elusive perfection, at the risk of sinking into the absurd. Bakéké (which means "bucket" in Hawaiian) chooses to turn his defeats into a playground.
Funny, touching and quirky, this family show celebrates the absurd and reminds us that by wanting too much, we sometimes risk losing everything.
Open-air performance in the abbey cloister. Possible retreat to the Tithe Barn in case of inclement weather.
