Virtual gastric banding is a treatment using a combination of advanced techniques derived from hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. The hypnotherapist uses the patient's mental strength to convince him/her that he/she has undergone gastric banding. The patient's body then reacts in exactly the same way as if a real gastric band had been fitted.
